John A. Mangones, Esq. is a member at Godbout Law PLLC, a Boston-based civil litigation firm.  Prior to joining Godbout Law, Mr. Mangones was an associate in the litigation department of an Am Law 50 law firm. Mr. Mangones specializes in complex business litigation, and represents clients in state and federal courts across the country in matters involving securities violations, business torts, breach of contract and employment disputes.  

 

Mr. Mangones is an experienced first chair trial attorney, and also represents clients in appeals, including matters in the First Circuit, Bankruptcy Appellate Panel and Massachusetts Appeals Court.  In addition, Mr. Mangones regularly represents clients in ADR proceedings, and maintains a particularly active practice representing both plaintiffs and defendants in FINRA arbitrations.  

 

Mr. Mangones is regularly asked by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly for expert commentary on recent appellate decisions, and has been recognized for three consecutive years by New England Super Lawyers Magazine as a Massachusetts Rising Star in the area of business litigation.  

 

Mr. Mangones received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law, where he was an editor of the Review of Banking and Financial Law, and is also a graduate of Connecticut College, where he received a B.A. with highest honors.
