Ms. Madar is the founder and managing partner of Law Offices of Serena D. Madar. Prior to opening her own firm, Ms. Madar was an associate at Sugarman, Rogers, Barshak and Cohen, P.C. and in the litigation department of Bingham McCutchen LLP (now Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP)’s Boston office.

Ms. Madar has nearly 20 years of experience advising, counseling, litigating and trying cases on behalf of small, mid-sized and fortune 100 and 500 companies and individuals in a wide-variety of litigation and arbitration including, but not limited to, real estate, shareholder and contract disputes, franchise and distribution law, products liability, and defamation, tort and premises liability claims. She has also advised and represented insurers in matters arising out of claims for coverage under general liability, business, homeowners and professional liability policies, and in extra-contractual bad faith claims. In addition to the insurance industry, Ms. Madar has represented clients in the media, healthcare, banking and financial institutions, manufacturing and technology, and retail industries.

Ms. Madar has tried nearly two dozen cases before judges, juries and arbitrators, and has mediated dozens of cases for clients and on behalf of indigent tenants in the Boston Housing Court. She is admitted to Massachusetts, U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

Ms. Madar has been selected as a Massachusetts Super Lawyers, Rising Star (Business Litigation), for multiple years, and received Greater Boston Legal Services' Pro Bono Hero Award in 2019. Ms. Madar received her J.D., magna cum laude, from New England School of Law and her B.A., cum laude, from Brandeis University.
